About us

MUMU creates solid wood tableware and furniture shaped for everyday living.

We work with responsibly sourced hardwoods, selected for their strength, grain, and natural character, and turn them into pieces that feel honest, functional, and enduring.

Our approach is simple: respect the material, keep the design clear, and make objects that belong naturally in the home.

From Wood to Home

Behind the scenes at our workshop, raw timber is transformed through a hands-on process. Logs are selected, dried, cut, joined, sanded, and finished in measured stages, with attention given to structure, balance, and surface feel.

Each piece is made in small batches, allowing time for proper handling and consistent quality from start to finish.

The Place of Making

Our work takes place in open workshops where material knowledge and skilled hands guide every step. Wood is handled directly, not rushed through automated lines, and decisions are made at the bench rather than behind a screen.

This is where experience shapes the outcome—through steady work, repetition, and respect for the craft.
