Defects in Materials and Workmanship: This includes any flaws that arise from the materials used or errors in the manufacturing process, such as cracks or breaks that occur without normal usage.
Structural Integrity of the Product: The warranty ensures that the product will maintain its intended shape and functionality throughout its use. For furniture, this means items should remain sturdy and free from instability due to manufacturing defects.
Functional Performance: Products should perform as intended without malfunctioning. If an item fails to operate correctly due to manufacturing issues, it is covered under warranty. This includes situations where mechanisms do not function or parts are defective upon delivery.
Repairs or Replacements: If a product is deemed defective within the warranty period, MUMU will either repair the item or provide a replacement at no additional cost to the customer.

9. Disclaimers
Products sold by the Seller are to be used as intended and in accordance with the Seller’s Product Care Guide. The Seller will not accept responsibility for damage resulting from misuse or failure to follow instructions.
Due to natural variation in raw materials, particularly natural teak wood, the color, texture, appearance, and odor of delivered products may differ slightly from showroom samples. These variations are not considered defects and do not compromise product quality.
The Seller reserves the right to make minor modifications to product designs for safety or efficacy, which may result in slight differences in construction from showroom samples.
Images on www.mumu.sg are for illustration purposes only and may not accurately represent actual colors or grains.
Product measurements are subject to slight variations of up to ±5mm due to hand finishing.
Customers purchasing large items (e.g., bookshelves, chests of drawers) acknowledge the associated risks by accepting the Safety Advice provided at the point of sale, which is also available in the Product Care Guide.
For safe use of shelves and chests of drawers, customers should follow the Product Care Guide. The Seller can provide anti-tipping mechanisms upon request but is not responsible for installation or any resulting damages.
10. Understanding Customer Faults
To clarify responsibilities and expectations, the following customer faults may arise, leading to issues that are not covered under warranty:
Improper Care and Maintenance
Example: A customer uses harsh cleaning agents that damage the finish of the wood or fails to use coasters, leading to water rings.
Reason: This issue arises from the customer's handling and maintenance practices rather than from the supplier's quality or manufacturing processes.
Environmental Conditions
Example: A wooden piece is placed in a humid environment, leading to mold growth or warping over time.
Reason: Environmental factors, such as humidity, temperature fluctuations, and sunlight exposure, are beyond the supplier's control and can significantly affect wood.
User Modifications
Example: A customer attempts to modify a piece of furniture (e.g., adding extra shelves or changing hardware), which leads to structural issues.
Reason: Any changes made by the customer to the product after purchase can lead to problems that are not the supplier's responsibility.
Accidental Damage
Example: A piece of furniture is dropped or hit, resulting in dents or cracks.
Reason: Accidental damage caused by the customer's actions or circumstances, such as moving furniture carelessly, falls outside the supplier's liability.
Aging and Wear
Example: Over time, a piece of furniture may naturally show signs of wear, such as scratches or fading, due to regular use.
Reason: Normal aging and wear and tear from everyday use are expected and not indicative of a defect in the product.
Storage Issues
Example: Furniture is stored in a damp basement or attic, leading to mold or structural damage.
Reason: Poor storage conditions are the responsibility of the customer and can affect the integrity of the furniture.
Shipping Issues After Delivery
Example: If the furniture is resold or moved by the customer and is damaged during this process, the supplier is not liable.
Reason: Damage occurring after the point of sale and delivery is typically not the supplier's responsibility.
Non-Compliance with Assembly Instructions
Example: A customer improperly assembles flat-pack furniture, leading to instability or failure.
Reason: Failure to follow the provided assembly instructions can lead to problems that are not the supplier's fault.
11. Limitation of Liability
The Seller shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising from any act or omission, including those by the Seller.
If the Seller is found liable for any reason, liability is limited to the purchase price of the product in question.
The Seller is not liable for personal damages or injuries if the product is not used according to the guidelines in the Product Care Guide.
